Start up businesses in the Exeter area could benefit from a year’s free membership at one of the city's most vibrant business networking groups, along with a programme of mentoring from club members.

At the Exeter Business Club AGM, members voted to continue the scheme which began last year and benefited Estatesdirect.com franchisee Dirk Leonard.

"We have a lot of hands on expertise to offer new businesses," said newly elected chair Pete Weeks.

"Most of our members started their own companies so they know all the pitfalls as well as the buzz of creating and launching a business."

The outgoing chair Belinda Newton reported a highly successful year with increased membership, the introduction of half day seminars on relevant topics, a refreshed website and an expanded programme of social events.

The Club also commissioned a short promotional film (see below) by Blanchard Media in which members cite all the advantages of joining the Club. The film was unveiled at the AGM and is now on the Club website at www.exeterbusinessclub.co.uk

Exeter Business Club also makes donations to city-based charities every year. This year’s chosen charities are the WESC Foundation and the Estuary League of Friends.
