Exeter businesses invited to take part in TEDxExeter 2020
Businesses in Exeter are being invited to take part in TEDxExeter 2020 by hosting a free live broadcast in their workplaces for staff to enjoy.
The ninth annual TEDxExeter conference takes place on Friday 17th April 2020, and organisers want to encourage as many people as possible across the city to get involved.
'It's just not possible for everybody who wants to get a ticket to come along to the event at the Northcott Theatre, so this year we're offering more businesses than ever before the opportunity to get involved by streaming the talks directly into their offices,' says TEDxExeter's licensee and curator, Claire Kennedy.
'Our speakers address some of the most pressing challenges facing us all and the livestream offers a unique way for businesses and organisations across the city to get involved. Our livestream guide helps businesses plan the day and make the most of being part of this exceptional event,' she continues.
Talks from past TEDxExeter events have been viewed over 24 million times by a global online audience. Over the past few years, livestreams of the event have been set up in countries all over the world including, Australia, New Zealand, India, Russia, Japan, Nigeria, Somalia, USA, Mexico and Venezuela.
More locally, the event has been livestreamed to the Exeter Library, the RAMM, the Devon and Cornwall Police, Devon County Council, hospitals, schools, pubs and many local workplaces.
'When you look at the success of TEDxExeter compared to some of the best in the world, it is simply remarkable. TEDxExeter is one of Exeter's best exports; TEDx gets the brand of Exeter across the globe.' says Karime Hassan, Chief Executive, Exeter City Council.
