Exeter hotel shortlisted in local business awards
The Magdalen Chapter has been shortlisted as one of the best hospitality businesses in Devon.
The 2015 Exeter Express & Echo Awards highlights The Magdalen Chapter in the Best Tourism / Hospitality Business category. Also shortlisted in the category is Ladram Bay Holiday Park; Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel and Sandy Park. Winners will be revealed in a ceremony at Sandy Park on Friday 17 April.

The hotel underwent a marathon four hour judging session to be shortlisted.
This year’s judging panel was made up of: Alison Davenport, MD of Exeter Cathedral; Ben de Cruz, partner at Haines Watts chartered accountants; Duncan Eadie, IT director at Foot Anstey; Maureen Gori de Murden, senior economy and tourism officer at Exeter City Council; Sarah Jepson, MD of Chalk & Ward PR, and Echo business editor Gordon Richardson.
Since it opened in 2012, The Magdalen Chapter has made a huge impact both regionally and nationally. The hotel, with its top restaurant and luxury REN Spa, has become a popular destination for both locals and visitors alike and has achieved accolades including Food & Travel Magazine’s City Hotel of the Year 2013 and Silver Large Hotel of the Year 2014 in the Visit Devon Tourism Awards.
