Over two weeks in May (8-19 May), over 150 employees from Foot Anstey walked the 208 miles from Truro to Bristol, calling in at each of the firm's five offices across the South West.

The intrepid adventure was all in aid of the Foot Anstey foundation, managed by the Devon Community Foundation (in conjunction with other Community Foundations across the region), which supports numerous charities across the South West chosen by our employees. In total over £14,000 has been raised, smashing the original target by 40%.

Throughout the exercise, the firm was supported by Devon-based Dynamic Adventures who helped plan the route and led each day's walk.

Peter Singfield, Foot Anstey's CSR Partner, said: "This is the first time we've undertaken such a huge firm wide fundraising project and the support from suppliers, clients and staff alike has been fantastic. Dynamic Adventures, who led us each day, commented what a great effort every single person put in. We walked through some pretty tough terrain with people walking between 15-25 miles and up to 11 hours each day. It's all been worth it for the money raised and in turn, the support we will be able to give charities across the region."

"All that is left to say is thanks for the support, and well done everyone who took park."

Laura Hewitt from Devon Community Foundation said, “At Devon Community Foundation we are all about giving more locally and this walk really shows Foot Anstey’s commitment to supporting the causes closest to their hearts and homes. Working together we really can make a big difference to the future lives of those in need across the region.”
