United Airlines is to be the presenting sponsor for the ‘UK Challenge’, the leading corporate team building event in the UK organised by IMG, a global leader in sports, events, fashion and media.

‘UK Challenge Presented by United Airlines’ will take place at Dartmoor from 30th June to 3rd July 2016. The event, which has been creating powerful business benefits for a variety of companies for more than 25 years, challenges teams intellectually, strategically and physically with a number of missions to complete across three days and nights.

The adrenaline-fuelled adventure will see 70 teams, each consisting of six people, work under pressure to solve puzzles and decipher codes. Based at Exeter University in 2016, the teams will have to navigate their way through a variety of tasks testing their teamwork, communication and cognitive skills in a bid to outsmart their rivals.

Andy Knee, Managing Director of Mass Participation Sports, IMG, commented: “We are delighted that United Airlines has agreed to become our Presenting Partner for the UK Challenge. Like the UK Challenge, United is a brand that prides itself on delivering the very best experience for its customers. We look forward to partnering with United to make the 2016 UK Challenge our biggest and best yet.”

“United Airlines, as the leading US carrier from the UK, is pleased to be partnering with the UK Challenge and to be supporting its efforts to further improve work skills and business relationships,” added Bob Schumacher, United’s Managing Director Sales – UK and Ireland.

In 2015, amongst the varying businesses to take part, with many different sectors represented, it was an Accenture team who placed highest across the series of challenging tasks, closely followed by AWE.

The 2016 edition of UK Challenge Presented by United Airlines is set to be just as competitive, with more than 60% of places filled already. Teams returning for the next edition include Accenture, CGI, EMC, Atkins, T-Systems, Logicalis and Equiniti.
