Lightfoot appoints Rupert Lyon Taylor as Managing Director of fleet division

Lightfoot, the award-winning in-vehicle technology and driver rewards platform, has recently announced the promotion of Rupert Lyon Taylor to the position of Managing Director of its fleet division.

Rupert joined the company in 2017 as Operations Director, and the team is delighted that he has now taken on this challenge. In his new position, Rupert will have primary responsibility for managing the fleet side of the business as Lightfoot continues its rapid growth.

In the past year Lightfoot has doubled its number of employees and this is set to double again in the next year. Funding awarded to Lightfoot by the Regional Growth Fund (RGF) has enabled a move to larger premises in Chudleigh and supports Lightfoot in its continuous expansion.

In taking on this new role, Rupert will allow Mark Roberts, CEO, to focus on future innovations and progressing the business, including international expansion and developing Lightfoot’s consumer proposition.

Mark Roberts comments on Rupert’s new position, saying: “Rupert has extensive experience from the automotive distribution industry, including overseeing the rapid growth in another innovation-focused business. I have no doubt that he will excel as Managing Director of Lightfoot’s fleet division. One of his most exciting challenges will be overseeing the doubling of our revenues and workforce this year, whilst ensuring that customers continue to receive the excellent level of service and support for which we have become known. Congratulations Rupert.’

Rupert commented on his new role: “It really is an exciting time for Lightfoot and I’m thrilled to not only be part of it, but to be leading such a dynamic, devoted team who are all completely on board with our mission.

Lightfoot is an innovative young company with so much potential, and I look forward to building on our ethos of ‘rewarding better drivers’ to realise it fully. We have fantastic customers onboard and plenty in the pipeline for the coming year. It’s a privilege to take this role on and an opportunity to relish.”
