Property developer and investment company, Propiteer, have completed a multi-million pound development on their new asset, the Hampton by Hilton hotel in Exeter.

The 40-bedroom extension has taken the room total to 160 and included an extensive internal upgrade, including the addition of three new fully-equipped meeting rooms to meet the corporate and conferencing demand.

As well as the new upgrade, the Hampton by Hilton recently received a Hilton ‘Best of The Best’ Award following a recent quality assurance audit, which distinguishes it as one of the leading performers in Hilton Worldwide. Chris Naylor, Vice President at Hilton of Brand Standards and Quality Assurance, said: “By your determination to excel, your hotel has shown that it is capable of the highest level of hospitable service and performance.”

Currently ranked as the number one hotel on TripAdvisor in Exeter, the Hampton by Hilton is forecasted to deliver some impressive returns to Propiteer investors when the development is fully signed off by Hilton and the hotel opens in January 2019.

According to Visit Britain, the South West harbours the 3rd highest tourism spend across the UK, which suggests a demand for both corporate guests and tourists to hotels like the Hampton by Hilton.

Director of Propiteer, Tom Dalton, said: “With its historic coast and the city’s redeveloped shopping centre and vibrant night life, Exeter is a beautiful city with a great future in tourism - and we cannot wait for the Hampton by Hilton to become a part of it”.

The Hampton by Hilton is scheduled to open in January and is just one of several Hilton properties in Propiteer’s portfolio. Ranging from city centre regeneration to leading hotel brands, Propiteer's asset portfolio currently exceeds 500m in development value just within Ireland and the UK.
