Betway Premier League Darts is 4,500 ticket sell out
Westpoint Exeter will be a 4,500 sell-out for Thursday's Betway Premier League following record ticket sales for the tournament's visit to the south-west.
The world's leading darts stars have been visiting Exeter since the tournament - held across 16 weeks around the UK & Ireland - was first staged at Westpoint in 2009.
The seventh staging of a Premier League night this coming Thursday has proven a huge hit, with all 4,500 tickets snapped up in advance for the Sky Sports-televised event.
The five games in Exeter include World Champion Gary Anderson - the Scottish star who is based in Somerset - taking on joint league leader Dave Chisnall, while Phil Taylor and James Wade meet in a repeat of the 2008 and 2010 Premier League finals.
Reigning Premier League champion Raymond van Barneveld opens the night against Belgium's Kim Huybrechts, while world number one Michael van Gerwen plays Peter Wright in a repeat of the 2014 World Championship final and Adrian Lewis takes on Stephen Bunting.
"The Betway Premier League's visit to the Westpoint Arena is always a highlight for us and we're delighted that this year's event has sold out," said PDC Chief Executive Matthew Porter.
"The sport's popularity has continued to soar over the past year since we were last in Exeter, and this is another boost for us. The line-up in Exeter has five exciting games in store this week, and we hope that everyone has a great night."
