Afternoon shopping for a new office!

Exeter-based SPACE has acquired 2,228 sq ft of office space at Kings Wharf overlooking Exeter Quay on behalf of Girling Jones Recruitment.

Girling Jones Recruitment, which specialises in the recruitment of technical professionals in the construction industry, had grown considerably in the past couple of years and in doing so needed to move from its current serviced office location to what would be this fresh young company’s first office of its own.

Simon Girling, Managing Director and founder, of Girling Jones Recruitment said “Due to our continued success and expanding client base we really needed a new office. We instructed SPACE as we knew they were the experts when it comes to finding commercial properties for tenants and occupiers." 

SPACE took an overview of Girling Jones Recruitment’s work, people and aspirations and knew that an office that reflected their infectious energy and enthusiasm was a must. SPACE shortlisted a range of premises which either did or, after some work, would reflect the client’s ethos and took Simon out one afternoon to show him the options in succession.

“It was a surprisingly intense afternoon of office viewings, but great to view the options SPACE had found us in one go. By the end of the afternoon it was down to two options and I knew I had some thinking to do that evening!”

SPACE helped with the decision by ensuring all the information was available to the client to ensure that the right decision was reached. SPACE also undertook all the negotiations to ensure that the premises chosen, Kings Wharf a former wool warehouse right on Exeter’s famous quay, was a great office deal and achieved with the minimum of hassle for Girling Jones Recruitment.
