Everys Solicitors are par for the course for Chiefs charity golf day
Everys Solicitors joined Exeter Chiefs players and fellow keen golfers to raise money for the Exeter Foundation.
The firm was the main sponsor of the ‘Play with the Chiefs’ charity golf day that took place at the East Devon Golf Club, close to Everys’ branch in Budleigh Salterton, last Thursday.
Everys entered two teams with one made up of commercial director Bruce Brooker, legal consultant David Wood, Chiefs’ fly-half Henry Slade and guest Lee Mayor. The other team comprised of some of the firm’s legal experts Hilary Quantick, Clive Dixon, Martin Justice and Sean Jenner.
Mr Brooker said: “Unlike last year, when we sponsored the same event, the weather was very kind to us. Twenty-nine teams enjoyed a great day’s golf in the company of fellow business people and the Chiefs players, of course. It was a very enjoyable way of helping to raise funds for the Exeter Foundation and all the local charities it supports.”
The Everys teams played alongside others from Boden Fire & Security, Boulter Bowen, Browne’s Boys, Capital Taxis, Charles Stanley, Cherubs, Combe Estate, Francis Clark, Heineken, Michelmores, MJ Baker, MJS Construction, Nuffield Health, Otter Brewery, Penguin Consultants, Raymond James Investment Services, Richard W Gegg & Sons and St Austell Brewery.
The Chiefs golfers included new signings Thomas Waldrom, Alex Hughes and Mitch Lees.
