Everys Solicitors celebrate first birthday at accessible Seaton office

Everys Solicitors’ office in Seaton is celebrating its first birthday in its modern, accessible offices.

After spending 28 years at the former Eyre Court Road location, Everys moved to the new premises in Harbour Road a year ago. It is one of the firm’s nine offices in Devon and Somerset.

Richard Stokes, resident partner of the Seaton office for 18 years, said: “The old offices served us well but they were on a hill and our clients needed to go up steps to visit us. The new location has proved much more suitable for a modern practice like ours and it is more easily accessible for the clients we serve in East Devon and West Dorset. We have enjoyed our first year here and look forward to many more years to come.”

Mr Stokes, a member of many organisations and groups in the town, has nearly 30 years’ experience as a solicitor and he specialises in property law. He is accompanied at the Seaton office by experienced probate manager in Rachael Taylor, however, residents and businesses can draw on the expertise of the entire firm.

“While Rachael and I are well versed in property law, conveyancing, wills and trusts, Everys has expertise in every area of the law and our partners and solicitors are prepared to travel to meet the needs of our Seaton residents to remain true to our aim of providing a local service to local people,” Mr Stokes added.

The Everys team also specialises in family law, such as divorce and custody, business and employment law, intellectual property, investment management, and personal injury claims.

The Seaton branch is registered for legal aid and offers a range of other funding options with charges set out in detail at the beginning of all proceedings so clients know exactly what to expect.

“We may be in new offices but our standards have remained the same and I am proud of that,” concluded Mr Stokes. “While some firms are choosing to consolidate their branches into one big city office, we wanted to remain accessible to all our clients while still offering a full and excellent service.”
