Everys Solicitors organised an event to update fellow solicitors and legal staff on changes to law regarding children.

Held at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter last week and attended by 50 delegates, the one-day course was led by Safda Mahmood, a senior solicitor in local government who has both practiced and lectured in family law across England and Wales for more than 18 years.

Gail Salway, one of Everys’ family law solicitors, said: “Mr Mahmood specialises in children and adoption law and his insight into emergency procedures, adoption regulations, guardianship and contact was invaluable.”

Everys’ partners and experts in child law Kim Stradling and Lindy Stephens also attended.
