Exeter Chamber's new board member

Exeter Chamber of Commerce & Industry sees a new board member join this month. Laura McFadyen from Stephens Scown LLP in Exeter has recently come on board as the 15th member of the Chamber Council.

Laura has a broad range of legal work experience, which includes working for a FTSE Top 20 oil and gas company and law firms in London, Colchester and Southampton. She qualified as a solicitor in 2000.

Laura now works as an Employment lawyer at Stephens Scown. Her clients are generally businesses in Devon and Cornwall, ranging from schools, charities, manufacturing and retail clients, although, she also acts for national clients and individuals.

Laura was pleased to be asked to join the Chamber Council this month commenting, “I was honoured to be recently asked to join the council committee of Exeter Chamber. I am really looking forward to representing the interests of business owners and employers in the community through the Chamber.”

Laura is also the Honorary Solicitor to the Exeter & Heart of Devon Hotels and Restaurants Association, attending committee meetings and providing legal advice to members.

Exeter Chamber represents 500 businesses in the city and its sub region, through national, regional and local political lobbying, a wide range of events, information and marketing services and a broad range of sub-groups supporting businesses in different industries and sectors.
