South West based chartered accountants Francis Clark are now 24th in the latest Top 50 league table of UK chartered accountancy practices.

The latest figures, published by Accountancy Age reveal that Francis Clark has moved up four places in the league.

They also have a recorded turnover increase of 21%. This follows the seven-office, 46-partner firm improving its position in the Western Morning News Annual Business Guide Top 150 firms, placing it 42nd, from 44th in 2012 and 69th in 2011.

Managing partner Les Burnett commented: “The substantial rise of 21% in turnover in the past year clearly indicates significant and steady growth across all our offices and practice areas which is very pleasing for us all.

“This upward trajectory vindicates our business strategy. While we continue to attract AIM listed clients and win clients from the ‘Big 4’, we have maintained a strong focus on advising small, owner-managed businesses, start-ups and family enterprises which are characteristic of our Westcountry client base.

“We are the accountancy firm that acts for all businesses of all sizes.”
