Free planning seminar for farmers and landowners
Farmers and landowners in Exeter and the surrounding area are invited to a free seminar hosted by local chartered accountancy firm Simpkins Edwards at which they can learn about farm planning and opportunities raised by permitted development rights.
The seminar will take place on Tuesday 14th October at Exeter Court Hotel, Kennford, Exeter at 7.30pm.
Expert speaker Mary Jane Campbell, partner at Simpkins Edwards, will cover the tax aspects of developing property and succession issues, while the solicitors will deal with the Land Registry, business structures and related legal matters. Stags will cover recent changes to Permitted Development Rights – all with the aim of providing practical, tailored advice for rural businesses.
Registration starts at 7pm, with tea and coffee available from 7.15pm. The seminar and Q&A session will be followed by a light supper and the opportunity to speak to the experts on a one-to-one basis.
Mary Jane Campbell heads up the rural and agricultural team at Simpkins Edwards, and is a Devon farmer herself. She said: “This is a very practical seminar that will help farmers make decisions about their future. The Westcountry’s agricultural businesses are vital to the local economy and we’re committed to supporting enterprises both large and small.”
Those interested in attending should call 01392 211233 or email: Exeter@simpkinsedwards.co.uk. Spaces are limited and are reserved on a first come first served basis. The seminar is open to all businesses and individuals, whether an existing client of Simpkins Edwards or not.
