It’s ‘all grow’ in 2014 for Exeter Businesses
Businesses across the South West are already reaping awards in their sectors and enjoying significant business growth in 2014. Grads for Growth, who support graduate recruitment in such businesses, have recognised a surge in activity this year and anticipate many more exciting graduate opportunities as businesses in the region continue to innovate and grow.
Celebrations are in order for the talented graduates who have played a part in catalysing the growth of innovative businesses and award-winning product innovation. And as employment opportunities increase, graduate job-seekers can reap the awards too. One such successful business, who decided to expand their team and recruit a talented graduate with the help of Grads for Growth, is Exeter-based, RouteShoot.
Having developed an innovative app that enables the user to create their own GPS referenced video, RouteShoot is winning both business and leisure customers thanks to the flexibility and adaptability of its product. From effectively monitoring workflow and proving compliance with statutory duties, to recording adventures and analysis of stats for improving performance, the RouteShoot app is causing a stir among Smartphone users. So much so, RouteShoot were named as a finalist for the Smart UK Project’s Most Innovative Mobile Company and attended the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at the end of February to pitch for the title. And, having been shortlisted for the ‘Innovation of the Year’ award, are looking forward to the Exeter Business Awards in April.
The company’s success has given RouteShoot the opportunity to expand their team and they looked to Grads for Growth to help them recruit a new Junior Developer. Ben Clarke graduated from Plymouth University in Computer Science last year and recently secured the role. Gary Wilson, co-founder and Managing Director of RouteShoot is delighted by the company’s rapid success and the support from Grads for Growth:
"We’re excited about our future. As a business experiencing such growth and interest in our product, Grads for Growth’s help with the recruitment process to develop our team was invaluable and we look forward to their further support".
Graduates such as Ben are supported throughout their placement by a Business Development Manager and one-to-one mentoring from cutting-edge academic expertise through links with leading universities in the South West. Recruitment is just one aspect of Grads for Growth’s ERDF funded support; so businesses who have recruited can access the mentoring and support so their employee can hit the ground running.
Businesses and graduates who are interested in finding out how they can benefit from this fantastic opportunity should go to www.gradsforgrowth.co.uk, email: hello@gradsforgrowth.co.uk or call 0845 600 3660. The team behind Grads for Growth has been running successfully in Cornwall for the last ten years and has helped nearly 1,000 businesses increase their turnover and growth. They clearly have every intention to continue this success across the South West.
