Trophy for surfing estate agent

Surfing his way to the top William Trott, Sales Negotiator at Exeter haart estate agency, has been crowned the Pro Junior Champion at the UK Pro Surf Tournament.

William, 20, who has been surfing for 16 years, battled against 134 competitors and 11 foot high waves to win the prestigious title at the British Universities & Colleges Sport event, held on Fistral Beach in Newquay.

Donning his haart branded wet suit, William surfed in five 30 minute long heats, riding the waves and performing radical controlled manoeuvres.

Demonstrating his ability to surf in an innovative and progressive way, he impressed the judges and scooped the top prize in the category for the under 21s.

William said: “The conditions were tricky, following the big super storm that had made its way across the Atlantic, we were all fighting against gale force winds and huge surf.

“The fact that I’ve won has still not settled in yet but it was really worth all of the hard work that I have put in over the last year.”

William will be surfing as much as he can over the winter to train for next year’s competition, where he will compete in the Individual Men’s Championship.
