Veitch Penny welcomes new solicitor
Two years of hard work and perseverance has finally paid off for trainee solicitor Phil Kay who qualified as a solicitor with Veitch Penny last month.
The journey to solicitor was a particularly tough one for Phil who made the unusual and brave decision to simultaneously complete his Legal Practice Course (LPC) whilst undertaking his two-year training contract. This meant working full-time at Veitch Penny and studying in the evenings and at weekends.
Phil officially qualified as a solicitor on 15 January. He will continue to work in Veitch Penny’s Crediton office where he completed his legal training and will specialise in Commercial, Property and Employment Law.
Ian Penny, Managing Partner of the Crediton office comments: “We are delighted to welcome Phil as a solicitor to the firm. We are proud of what he has achieved over the last couple of years and know he is going to be an asset to the firm and our business clients.”
With his studies now over Phil is looking forward to having some free time to enjoy his other interests of rugby and choral singing.
