Activa Contracts launches new initiative recognising safest drivers

In an effort to ensure safer drivers in their clients’ fleets are properly rewarded and commended, Activa Contracts is sponsoring a new initiative with its risk management partner, Lightfoot.

The ‘Activa Contracts Lightfoot Drivers’ League’ rewards one driver each week from the many fleets using both Activa contracted company cars and vans and Lightfoot’s driver behaviour technology.

Site manager Steve Damerell has won an esteemed industry accolade for his top-quality work.

The Family Law Company has doubled its investment in South West sporting phenomenon, the Exeter Chiefs.

The company has already sponsored Chiefs’ prop Tomas Francis for a year. Tomas has become a firm favourite with the staff at The Family Law Company, and continues his career with the Chiefs’ first team, as well as being a Welsh International and British Lion.

Exeter Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce that Benjamin Mee, CEO of Dartmoor Zoological Park will speak at this year’s Exeter Business Dinner, taking place on Friday 2nd November 2018 at Sandy Park Conference Centre.

In 2006, Benjamin Mee and his family discovered Dartmoor Wildlife Park, which at the time consisted of a private, exotic animal collection, in financial hardship. Mr Mee and his family stepped forward to save the animals and the zoo, starting a year-long struggle to get the zoo ready to re-open.

New research has revealed that 45% of people in the South West have felt bullied by a boss throughout their careers, and a huge 87% said they would confront their boss if they thought they were in the wrong.

The survey of more than 1,000 employees was carried out by UK printing supply company TonerGiant. Interestingly, 42% of the South West see their boss as a friend, but not a close one.
