Charities get over £10,000 from Round Table
Following the success of their 34th annual fireworks display at Westpoint on 5 November, Exeter Round Table has donated over £10,000 to locally connected charities.
Those receiving donations include Devon Air Ambulance Trust, St Loyes Foundation, 21st Exeter Scouts, Exeter Sea Cadets, Exeter Homeless Dinner, The Olive Tree Association, Southbrook School, Exeter Youth Orchestra, Kibera in Need, St Thomas Methodist Church and South West Water (on behalf of The Prince’s Trust).
Representatives from Exeter Round Table and local charities recently met at St Olaves Hotel, Exeter for afternoon refreshments and a number of donations were handed out to the local charities. So far, in the past two years, Exeter Round Table has given over £45,000 to local charities.
Money is raised by Exeter Round Table from a number of events including the annual fireworks display at Westpoint. The fireworks event is run on a volunteer basis with profits being donated to local charities.
Richard Kaye, the Chairman, said: "At Exeter Round Table we are proud to be able to help local charities. We are very pleased to donate funds to all of these worthwhile causes."
