Charity run organisers call for sponsors

The South West's largest corporate charity run organised by Exeter law firm Michelmores, is calling for sponsors to boost fundraising in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Now in its 16th year, the Michelmores Charity Run attracts 1,000 runners and raises in excess of £20,000 for a chosen charity. The run, which will take place on Thursday 11 June 2015, covers a 5K city course starting in the heart of Exeter at Cathedral Green, finishing at Exeter Castle.

All the proceeds raised at the event will go to Macmillan Cancer Support, Michelmores' Charity of the Year, to help provide a range of services to people affected by cancer in Devon and across the UK.

Michelmores Marketing Director Louise Edwards, commented: “Each year our sponsors play a huge part in helping us raise as much money as possible for great causes, and now in its 16th year we're looking to break all fundraising records at the 2015 Charity Run – all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

“In addition to supporting Macmillan, which helps so many people touched by cancer, sponsorship is also a fantastic promotional branding opportunity for businesses, and a fun event for staff, family and friends to get involved in."

Sponsorship packages range from £50 to £1,000 with numerous promotional opportunities, including a large company logo on the race t-shirt worn by all runners and logo on runners' race numbers, the Michelmores website and invitation packs. As a sponsor you could also choose to feature a banner at the start or finish line, supply a promotional item of choice for the runner's goodybags, or support any one of the prizes awarded.
