Could spare some time to help at fundraising events?

Exeter Axhayes Cats Protection Adoption Centre are looking for volunteers to help out at fundraising/publicity events throughout the year. The Friends of Axhayes Group are a small group of volunteers who meet regularly to arrange fundraising events but they desperately need people to help out at these events.

You do not need to commit to any regular hours and you can do as little or as much as you like.

A spokesperson for the centre said, " We are totally dependant on donations and receive no government funding. Therefore we do hold events throughout the year to raise funds and promote the adoption centre and the Cats Protection League. We are trying to put together a list of people who we could call upon when needed to help out at events. We need help with running coffee mornings, manning stalls at fun days/events, rattling tins on collection days, setting up and clearing away at events etc." They went on to say, " We understand that not everyone can commit to regular volunteering and we really need help at events. This could be from a few hours to a whole day, whatever they can do. We hold about a dozen or so events a year but at times we do struggle to get enough people to help us".

If you or someone you know are interested in helping out then please give the adoption centre a call and speak to Lou or Phil on 01395 232377 or visit www.axhayes.cats.org.uk
