Dream-A-Way & Southernhay Clinic's Sizzling Summer Make-over
Over £500 was raised for local charity Dream-a-Way during a fabulous evening hosted by Woodbury Hotel & Golf Club. The evening was opened by Jeff Merrett of Dream-A-Way and by brave teenager, Catherine Boult who gave a heart-warming talk about how the charity had helped her and her family over the years.
Over 50 ladies attended an evening of treatments and consultations offered by Southernhay Clinic, and students from Exeter College’s school of beauty and John Lewis who provided a wonderful fashion show.
Penny Albertella, director of Southernhay Clinic, said “Twelve of our team offered their services on the night, alongside the students from Exeter College, ranging from acupuncture to cosmetic procedures and skin peels! We were thrilled to be able to help raise so much for such a worthwhile charity.”
Dream-A-Way's aim is to assist people living in Devon, Cornwall and the Scilly Isles with physical and learning difficulties. They provide holidays and day trips - whether it is fulfilling a lifetime dream, experiencing great opportunities or just having 'time out' from daily routines.
Jeff Merrett, Chairman of Dream-A-Way said “The event was such a great success, we are already all set to hold an even better event next year. Grateful thanks to Penny and all at Southernhay Clinic, the wonderful young ladies from Exeter College and the management and staff at Woodbury Park. I would also like to mention the excellent clothes supplied by John Lewis and our stunning models!”
