Easter egg campaign a 'cracker'
Local charity Hospiscare encouraged local people and businesses to get involved with their Easter campaign by raffling an Easter egg in their local community.
Amongst those that took part were the University of Exeter, The Hospiscare retails shops and many more.
Hospiscare provided participants with a yummy Easter egg and lucky squares which could be raffled off for just £1 per entry.
The Fore Street shop in Exeter raised an amazing £200 selling their tickets, and Drakes Cafe in Exeter raffled an egg as well as donating to help with their campaign.
As well as taking part in the Easter campaign volunteers and patients have got involved knitting chicks! The homemade knitted chicks which sit on a crème egg have raised over £1,000 towards the hospice.
Community Fundraiser Susie Healey said: ‘’It is great to see everyone come together and raise money for their local hospice.
‘’The knitted chicks were a great success and we hope to see them make an appearance again next year!’’
