ELF & Pavey Group announce partnership
ELF is delighted to announce that Pavey Group has agreed to help fund and sponsor the ELF Community Transport Service, an integral part of the ELF Community Support Programme, launched in May 2013.
Over the next two years Pavey Group will make a significant contribution towards the operating costs of the transport service.
Often treatment for blood related conditions can be complex and visits to the Haematology Centre at the RD&E Hospital can be on a regular or infrequent basis, making NHS transport difficult to access. Covering all of Devon, the ELF drivers will collect patients from, and return them to, their homes, in one of three professionally presented and liveried vehicles FREE of charge. In addition, ELF can also transport haematology patients to Bristol and further afield.
In the first eight months over 2,000 journeys were organised and carried out. It is anticipated that going forward, over 4,000 journeys will be made annually, which is a considerable commitment and undertaking by the charity.
The feedback and comments have been fantastic including: “A helping hand with a heart of gold” and “First class friendly service, taking the stress out…not having to try and find a car parking space.”
Pavey Group provide high quality, independent insurance solutions and financial advice. Established in 1971, Pavey Group has grown into a leading professional services firm in the South West and feature as a Top 100 Independent Insurance Broker in the UK, with offices in Exeter and Torquay.
Across both locations Pavey Group offer a full suite of insurance services to include Business Insurance, Personal Insurance and a national scheme for holiday let properties, along with Financial Planning Advice and Protection to businesses and individuals.
Geoff Gale, Director at Pavey Group in Exeter comments “The ELF Community Transport Service is a fantastic initiative and one that we are incredibly proud to be supporting, particularly as the service benefits patients in Exeter and across Devon.”
Dale Edwards, CEO of ELF said: “I am delighted that Pavey Group have agreed to sponsor the ELF Community Transport Service for the next 2 years. The charity has valued the expertise of Pavey Group for a number of years, as they have sourced competitive insurance and provided excellent advice on financial investments. All in all, an ideal partner!”
