Exeter Round Table Supports Exeter Food Action with Chiller Floor Funding

Members of Exeter Round Table visited Exeter Food Action at their Marsh Barton premises yesterday (20 February) to see firsthand the impact of their latest donation. Exeter Round Table has provided funding for a new floor in the organization’s walk-in chiller, a crucial upgrade that will help Exeter Food Action continue its vital work in reducing food waste and supporting those in need.

Exeter Food Action is a charitable organization dedicated to rescuing surplus food from supermarkets, wholesalers, and food producers. This food, which would otherwise go to waste, is redistributed to local charities, food banks, and community groups, ensuring that vulnerable individuals and families in Exeter and the surrounding areas have access to nutritious meals.

Speaking about the support from Exeter Round Table, a representative from Exeter Food Action said: “We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of Exeter Round Table. Their funding has enabled us to improve our storage facilities, ensuring that we can continue to safely store and distribute food to those who need it most.”
