Spring has sprung and people across Exeter, mid and east Devon are preparing to open their garden for Hospiscare’s 10th Summer of Open Garden’s.

There are over 35 gardens taking part of all shapes and sizes including; urban spaces, hotel grounds and gardens full of wild flowers. Throughout the summer gardens will be opened to the public with a range of plants, animals and trees to admire as well as homemade refreshments to enjoy.

Amongst those taking part is Jessica Macan a Hospiscare volunteer. She said: ‘’’I enjoy opening my garden to the public. I love my garden and seeing other people enjoying it! I find it a very positive thing to do for a very positive local charity.’’

This is the 10th year that Hospiscare has run its open garden calendar. Community Fundraiser Susie Healey said: ‘’ Open Gardens raises thousands of pounds each year for Hospiscare. It is a lovely way to enjoy summer days and to get ideas for your own garden, whilst supporting a local charity’

Donations for viewing the gardens raises funds for Hospiscare – a local charity which gives high-quality care and dedicated free-of-charge support to people who are terminally ill in Exeter, Mid and East Devon.

Full details of all the gardens opening this summer can be found on the Hospiscare website www.hospiscare.co.uk/events.
