Local Mental Health and Wellbeing Charity Celebrates New Chapter with Successful Open Day Event

Step One, a leading mental health and wellbeing charity in Devon, recently held a successful Open Day event to celebrate a new chapter for the organisation. The event, held on 13th June 2024 at the charity's new home, the X Centre on the historic Exeter Quayside, attracted over 50 attendees eager to learn more about Step One's work and its impact on the local community.

The Open Day provided a platform for attendees to connect with the Step One team and learn more about their vital services. The event also featured inspiring speeches from The Right Worshipful, The Lord Mayor of Exeter, Councillor Kevin Mitchell, Chair of Trustees at Step One, Sue Sutherland, and CEO Ben Greaves, talking about the importance of mental health services in the community, along with Step One’s extensive history and future plans. 

In line with their recent rebrand, the event's branding and materials showcased Step One's commitment to approachability and inclusivity, reflected in the bright and inviting colour scheme and welcoming imagery.

Adding to the warm atmosphere, the event featured gratitude bunting created collaboratively by the community at recent local events, Step One service users and staff. This bunting serves as a symbol of appreciation and is now proudly displayed at the X Centre.
