The Lord’s Taverners host a roaring evening

The Lord’s Taveners charity hosted a very special British Lions dinner on 17 April at Exeter University's Great Hall.

The evening was a massive success with star guest speaker Warren Gatland, the British Lions Manager for the forthcoming tour to Australia, supported by former Lions and rugby giants Will Greenwood, Paul Ackford and Scott Quinnell.

Tales of skill, and skulduggery mainly in the scrum, entertained a full house of 400 guests and raised over £11,000 for the charity.

As hard as the supporting speakers tried, they were unable to get Mr Gatland to divulge his starting XV or the much awaited naming of the tour captain!

Funds raised help young people, especially those with special needs, access fun and team building via sporting activities.
