TenPin Exeter and Guide Dogs Have a Bowl!
For the past 8 years, Guide Dogs and TenPin Exeter have collaborated on a very successful fundraising evening. What began as a request for Raffle Prizes for another occasion, has turned into an annual event supported by staff, volunteers, friends & local businesses.
Dog Care & Welfare Advisor, Glenda Webb, and TenPin Manager, Dave Aldridge have combined forces making it not only a great social event but a profitable one, raising money and awareness for the charity. With any luck (and hard work) this year will be no exception! All 22 lanes are already fully booked and the prizes for the raffle are slowly rolling in; although more are needed!
The total raised in 2018 was an incredible £3,625.05, which went to the local Exeter Fundraising Branch, and also towards TenPin’s fundraising efforts to name a guide dog puppy. Ten Pin are hoping to raise enough to go towards naming their third guide dog puppy; maybe this year they’ll manage to hit the £4000 mark! The night will be starting at 7pm on Wednesday 24th April.
Glenda said “I’m extremely grateful to Dave and all his staff who work so hard on the night every year, and to all the people who come along or support the efforts with donations. We can’t wait for the night to come around again!”
