Topsham gardens open for Hospiscare
Gardeners across Topsham have been planting, weeding and mowing their gardens in preparation for Hospiscare’s Open Gardens Programme 2014.
Four people in Topsham are opening their gardens for the public to view this summer with all proceeds being donated to local end of life charity Hospiscare.

The first of these gardens is Altamira Lodge on 15 June. Altamira Lodge has been described as ‘an oasis of calm’ and is the perfect garden to relax in. Entrance is just £2 per person and refreshments will be available. Altamira Lodge can be found on Monmouth Road (EX3 0AG).
On 22 June the owners of 415A Topsham Road will be opening their city garden to the public, the garden is beautiful with herbaceous borders to admire and refreshments available.
The last of the Topsham open gardens are on 20 July 20 when two gardens will be opening their gates for the public. Drake’s Cottage (EX3 0JG) and Wixels (EX3 0JH) are open from 2pm – 5pm with entry just £4 for both, or £2.50 each.
Drakes Cottage is a secret walled cottage style garden with water features, bowers and artwork to view. Wixels is an intriguing garden with semi-exotic plants and views over the Exe Estuary, there will be refreshments available as you sit back and relax.
