This Saturday (29 March) Headway Devon are hosting a fun-filled Zumba Party at Riverside Leisure Centre in Exeter to raise money for local people with brain injuries!

From 10-11am, qualified local instructor Johanna Morgan of JM DanceFit will be leading an hour-long Zumba class at the Riverside Leisure Centre, near Exeter Quay. The class is open for everyone to come along and enjoy and will be a great and sociable opportunity to burn some calories and try out a new activity.

Fundraising Manager, Holly Keatings, says “I can't think of a better feel-good start to the weekend than getting some exercise and raising money for charity at the same time. We can’t wait for the Zumba fundraiser on Saturday and we’re very grateful to Johanna for her support to make this possible. We are also very grateful to the generous team at Riverside Leisure Centre who are providing us with space to run the event completely free of charge. A Zumba workout will be a great way to kick-start your weekend at the same time as raising funds and awareness for the valuable support that Headway Devon offers to local people. As the event will be taking place at Riverside Leisure Centre near Exeter’s beautiful Quay, we also think it’s a great excuse to come into the city and perhaps enjoy a leisurely brunch in one of the many local cafes.”

Johanna, JM DanceFit Founder said: “I am thrilled to have been approached by Headway Devon to instruct Zumba at their forthcoming fundraiser and help towards giving people with brain injuries, together with their families, the support and essential services they need.  I am really pleased to have the opportunity to be involved with raising funds for the charity and look forward to making every move count during our sixty minutes of DanceFit Zumba fun!”

If you would like to attend the event, class will run from 10-11am at the Riverside Leisure Centre by Exeter’s Exe Bridges roundabout. Entry will be £4 on the door which includes light refreshments and there will be a raffle with some great prizes donated by local people and businesses.
