Free workshops for keen crafters
Keen crafters are being encouraged to go along to the Contemporary Craft Festival in Bovey Tracey next week (Friday 7 to Sunday 9 June).
Devon County Council’s Adult and Community Learning will be providing workshops for anyone who might be interested in taking up a craft and enrolling on a course. Current learners’ and tutors’ work will also be showcased at the festival.
“Bovey Tracey Craft Festival is an excellent event for anyone who may be thinking about enrolling on a craft a course with Devon Adult and Community Learning” said County Councillor Roger Croad. “It’s the perfect opportunity to come along, look at the art work, join in a workshop and explore your potential.”
The workshops include mosaic, wire sculpture, weaving in 3D and printmaking. There is a £6 fee for materials per person, per workshop. Devon Adult and Community Learning staff will be on hand to advise and enrol new learners on courses across the county.
