Writers’ workshops with Teresa Driscoll

Former BBC Spotlight presenter Teresa Driscoll will soon be touring Devon's libraries with a workshop to help aspiring writers.

Tickets are free (with a refundable deposit of £5) and will be available in the libraries below from Saturday 9 August.

The workshop Short stories: for pleasure and for profit is suitable for new and aspiring writers of short fiction and is a relaxed and fun session designed to build confidence and help writers to find their own voice. The session is pitched to suit a broad range of ages and experience but is for adults only, please. Absolute beginners very welcome but session will also help writers with more experience who need direction and a confidence boost. All that is necessary is a genuine interest in writing fiction.

All the workshops will run from 10am – 1pm.

The Hayridge, Cullompton: Saturday 6t September, Room 2.
Barnstaple: Saturday 13 September, Henry Williamson Room.
Exeter:  Saturday 20 September:  Meeting Room 1 (Ground Floor).
Bideford: Wednesday 23 September, Children's Library.
Newton Abbot:  Saturday 4 October, Room F3.
Okehampton: Saturday 11 October, upstairs room/Community Information Room.
Dartmouth: Wednesday 15 October.  
Sidmouth: Saturday 18 October, Reading Room.
Ivybridge:  Saturday 25 October, Learning Suite.
Tiverton: Saturday 1 November, Learning Suite.
