Crealy to host radio request show
Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park is pleased to announce they will be working in partnership with Radio Exe in 2015 to host its very own radio request show ‘The Crealy Jukebox’.
Every Sunday lunchtime from noon to 2pm, Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park’s general manager Josh Haywood will be returning to his roots as a radio presenter, having previously been a presenter on Blackpool’s Radio Wave, Bristol’s Star 107.2 and on Coast Radio in Somerset before joining the Crealy team in 2010.
‘The Crealy Jukebox’, starting on Sunday 11th January 2015 on 107.3FM Radio Exe, will welcome requests and dedications from listeners young and old. Listeners will be able to send their requests via the Radio Exe website or by emailing jukebox@radioexe.co.uk. There will also be the facility for guests at Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park to put in their requests for the show when visiting the Park and to request via the Park’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
As well as listeners’ requests, ‘The Crealy Jukebox’ will also feature: ‘The Bear Necessity’: Crealy mascot Buddy Bear’s favourite ‘junior choice’ request and ‘Buddy-oke’: children’s attempt to get a request by singing a chorus.
Radio Exe’s managing director Paul Nero says: “It’s wonderful to be bringing two great Devon entertainment brands – Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park and Radio Exe – together in this way. We’re the only radio station that’s made in Devon, all day, every day, and that allows us to create great branded shows like this one in peak time.”
Josh Haywood, general manager at Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park said: “It’s fantastic to get Crealy on air and we’re very pleased to be working with Radio Exe on this. Make sure you put in your requests for songs when you visit the Park and don’t forget to tune in every Sunday. I can’t wait to get back on the radio.”
Devon's Crealy Great Adventure Park is the south west’s number one family value day out. The multi-award winning family attraction is located just minutes from junction 30 of the M5 near Exeter. Celebrating its 25th anniversary 2014, £1million was invested in five new rides and attractions including The Lost World of Atlantis, Bugz Unlimited, the Flying Machine and Dino Jeeps. The Park has over 60 rides and attractions set in 100 acres of glorious Devon countryside and opens 361 days a year.
Radio Exe is one of the UK’s few remaining locally controlled radio stations, with almost 39,000 listeners tuning in every month across Exeter, Mid and East Devon. Run by Exmouth-based Exe Broadcasting Limited, it is the home of Radio Academy award-winning presenter Ashley Jeary, and former Gemini Radio hosts Chris Dinnis and Ben Clark. It is available on 107.3FM across the area, online via www.radioexe.co.uk, through a free mobile phone app, and on the RadioPlayer digital platform.
