Creative dating at Exeter Museum
The Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery (RAMM) is getting romantic this February with two events lined up.
The Valentine’s Vintage Ball brings dance music and theatre to the Museum. The Hot Tin Roofs will bring a raucous blend of swing, shake and rhythm & blues.
The Lindy Hoppers will on-hand with dance lessons, Nuts and Volts theatre company will be in residence researching the history of romance and there will be ElectroSwing DJs, Alfie’s Black Cab Photobooth and a vintage dressing up theme.
The event takes place on Saturday 14 February, from 7 to 11pm. Tickets are £8 (£7 early bird).
At the Culture Lovers singles night, people who share a passion for culture are being offered the chance to meet the love of their life at a creative dating event.
The event will begin with a complimentary glass of Prosecco from the bar and an icebreaker designed to bring together people with similar interests – anything from archaeology to zoology.
Live band The Pookas will bring sound of real soul numbers. Culture lovers will be able to stroll through the galleries, see RAMM’s collections and enjoy work by some of the greatest 19th-century artists and designers in the current exhibition Art & Soul.
The event takes place on Saturday 28 February, from 8 to 11pm. Tickets are £15 (£12)
Tickets for both events are available online at www.undergroundtickets.net and from the RAMM reception in person or by phone (01392 265858) during opening hours (Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm) using a credit or debit card.
