Channel 4’s ground-breaking reality gameshow series, where anyone can be anyone, is back, and this year, hosted by Emma Willis.

The Circle series 1 was the biggest new original commission launch on All 4, since 2012.

Contestants compete against each other to be deemed the most popular for a chance to win a huge cash prize.

They don’t get to know each other face-to-face, meeting each other through the profiles they choose to share through The Circle (a purpose-built, voice activated social media site) and the information they release via chats.

In the live final last year, catfish Alex Hobern, took on the persona of Kate throughout the series and went on to win a prize of £75,000.

Alex said: “Taking part in the Circle was an incredible experience that allowed me to reflect on how I use social media, as well as make a bunch of life-long friends. If you’re interested in exploring a different persona, or just want to go in as you, and there’s nothing wrong with that - I seriously recommend applying for the next series.”

With Emma at the helm, this series is set to be bigger and better with an extended run and weekly live episode, and a huge prize fund of up to £100,000.

Emma Willis said: “I’m an avid people watcher and fascinated by the positives and negatives of social media. I got hooked on the first series and thought it was a smart format that highlights how we shouldn’t take everything on social media at face value. I’m delighted to be part of something that is incredibly relevant and can’t wait to join the team and see how mischievous people are prepared to be for £100,000.”

The Circle casting team are looking for Britain’s biggest characters, from your area to take part. We’re particularly interested in fun, passionate and confident people, who are prepared to be put to the test.

Will you be yourself, or someone else?
