Festive delights at Teign Valley Victorian Market
The annual Victorian Christmas Market returns to the Teign Valley on Saturday (Nov 29) with a host of festive goodies and entertainment.
Stallholders, dressed in traditional Victorian garb, will be offering an array of produce, crafts and gifts at the event, which runs from 10am to 3pm at the Teign Valley Community Hall in Christow.
Entry is free, and there is also a complimentary mince pie and glass of mulled wine on arrival.
Organiser Khamal Doderer said: “The Victorian Christmas Market continues to grow and this year we’ve worked really hard to make sure there’s a lovely festive feel.
“We’ve got more stallholders than ever, carols around the Christmas tree, and all the festivities you’d expect – mulled wine, mince pies, Father Christmas and even bacon butties!”
The event will raise money for Exeter Hospiscare, a local charity with provides free high-quality care and support to people who are terminally ill and their families in Exeter, Mid and East Devon.
Handmade jewellery, Christmas cards, art, organic soaps, cosmetics, Christmas trees and decorations and a range of crafts will be on sale.
There will be food stalls selling cakes, sweets, organic bread, cheese, pies, fish and locally-grown vegetables.
Along with a children’s tombola and games, Father Christmas will be giving out gifts and there will be a café, with hot food and drink on sale throughout the day.
