Calendar Girls

Kiki Dee & Carmelo Luggeri in concert

Fossil Collective
Sunday, 8pm, Exeter Phoenix
Fossil Collective, a two-piece from Leeds, consists of multi instrumentalists David Fendick and Jonny Hooker. Their first recordings saw them taking inspiration from classic albums by Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac and Simon and Garfunkel and suggested comparisons with more contemporary artists such as Fleet Foxes, Midlake and Bon Iver. Devon County Antiques Fair

Powderham Food Festival

This year’s festival celebrates pickling, potting and preserving, from ancient roots to space food technology. There will be over a hundred producers exhibiting in the castle and grounds with demonstrations, talks and tastings. Heading the talks will be The Incredible Spice Men and TV gardening broadcaster, Toby Buckland. London Cemeteries

The Fourth Exeter Poetry Slam

Taking the Mic co-presenters Morwenna Griffiths and Tim King proudly host the fourth Exeter Poetry Slam. Twelve of the finest poetic performers in the South West will go head to head in the 4th instalment of this annual competition. 12 contestants, 3 rounds, 1 winner, much kudos.

The annual chance to see a selection of work by some of the most talented emerging artists from across the UK and beyond. Artists this year include Charlie Godet Thomas, Rachel Busby, Rebecca Ounstead, Max Cahn, Julie Price, Anne Deeming, Malina Busch, Oliver Tirre, Hannah Mooney. Exhibition of work by Exe Artists Painting Group
A la Ronde, Exmouth
A la Ronde hosts an art exhibition by members of the Exe Artists painting group until 9 October. Normal admission charges apply for entry to the house which is open from 11am to 5pm with last admissions at 4pm. The grounds, tea-room and shop are open between 10:30 am and 5:30 pm; with last orders in the tea-room at 5pm. Entry to the exhibition in the stable and tearoom is free.
