On June 12 Devon Art Society will be participating in the annual Babbacombe Rotary Fayre. There will be numerous attractive paintings displayed on the railings on Babbacombe Downs. Greg Hancock, Em Marshall and Ben Morgan-Brown are all Devon-based singer songwriters, each with a unique style and very different influences. And they've been friends for a while now. Greg and Ben first met doing open mics in and around the Exeter area. Ben also used to work in a guitar shop which is where he met Em Marshall, as a customer. It was later that he found out that Em was the partner of Tim Jones who he now writes and performs with. Following the success of Mixed Grill, Beyond Face return to Exeter making their Exeter Phoenix performance debut with 2000 Stories . This is a show about stories; the ones that have stayed with us, the ones we have forgotten and the ones we may have been forced to hear.

The show encompasses the current complex debate around authentication and ownership of other people’s stories. While 2000 stories don’t individually feature in the show, we are taken through multiple stories of the personal, fictional and political. One woman shouldering what she perceives to be her responsibility....
