For 11 days, the Exwick Playing Fields will host a fantastic selection of rides and attractions commencing on Thursday 13 June and running until Sunday 23 June.
European Theme Park is different to any other fun fair or venue, however, with visitors paying just one fee to enter and enjoying all rides free of charge once inside.
For a single price of either a family wristband for £6.99 each - which includes all inflatables, kids' rides, the Dodgems, Waltzers and Twist - or a premium wristband for £9.99 - which includes all rides from a wide range of white knuckle thrillers to wholesome family attractions as well as some of the best kids' rides in Europe! Non-ride wristbands are available for just £2, while the first four days will see characters from children’s TV and Film on hand to meet the kids!
On weekdays there will be one opening session from 6pm to 9.00pm, while there will be two opening sessions on Saturdays & Sundays from 3pm to 6.00pm and from 6pm to 9.00pm.
Visitors are advised to get to the park early to maximise their time within the security controlled site and take full advantage of the rides and attractions on offer.
Colin De-Vey commented, "This is a novel idea for the region, which during the credit crunch is proving extremely popular with guests of all ages. I am proud to be able to bring the European Theme Park to Exeter and hopefully we will enjoy the wonderful support that is always evident on our visits to the area.
"Exeter is no stranger to fairs, although at many events you pay for the attractions you want to ride. European Theme Park is different with some of the biggest rides and we wanted to be able to provide a new experience where families could enter our security controlled park and enjoy unlimited free rides for a reasonable charge. I believe in the current economic this represents excellent value and with free riding on the attractions once inside the gates we can guarantee none of our guests will leave the European Theme Park disappointed.”
Rides and attractions at the event range from the huge Italian Wild Mouse Roller Coaster with spinning cars, one of the biggest portable rides in Europe - the Jumpin’ from Spain - to the gravity defying Meteor. Offering upside-down thrills will be the Phantom Menace, while there will be also an opportunity to simulate a Bob Sleigh run on the Thriller Matterhorn from Germany.
Traditional rides and attractions will also be available such as the Waltzers, Dodgems, the Orbiter, Terminator, and the Big Wheel, while the youngsters will be able to ride their own Roller Coaster, enjoy a huge car ride, ride the chairs or sample the latest toy rides.
