It's chocs away for new business

The countdown has begun as Choccie Bar gets ready to launch its online boutique at Exeter Castle.

Choccie Bar will be joined by a number of friends for what will be a most unusual launch event during which the company will showcase it’s collection and officially send the online boutique live.

John Sheaves, CEO of Taste of the West will be pressing the Go Live button;

“The Southwest is becoming a well-recognised hub for innovative and excellent food produce and we are delighted to see and nurture new and exciting businesses like Choccie Bar entering the market”, he says.

Based in Broadclyst Exeter, Choccie Bar creates stunning artisan luxury handmade chocolates. The company began setting up in January this year and went into production in April.

“For a startup company, it’s been an incredible year”, says owner Katie Jones.

“We were amazed and delighted to be runner up for New Business of the Year in the Natwest Venus awards and then we heard we’d also picked up a bronze award from the Taste of the West for our new chilli range.

“The next logical step for us is to create a gorgeous online destination for our customers to shop at their leisure and the launch is imminent.”

The Online Boutique launches at the Exeter Castle on November 14.
