The Ivy Exeter announces opening date
The Ivy Collection today announces it will be bringing a touch of Ivy magic to Exeter, as it prepares to welcome its first guests on Wednesday, 9 June, with reservation lines open from today.
In celebration of the opening, floral Ivy letters, beautifully adorned with ivy and colourful primroses, have popped up in front of the iconic Exeter Cathedral and opposite the restaurant itself for one day only, creating a picture-perfect moment for passers-by and visitors alike. Themed characters and a marching band are also on hand to help spread additional joy throughout the city.
Situated in the heart of Exeter, the 128-seat restaurant will offer sophisticated yet friendly all-day dining in a beautiful setting. Open seven days a week from morning until night, The Ivy Exeter will feature restaurant dining, a beautiful bar and intimate private dining room for eight guests, as well as an outdoor terrace, making for the perfect place to dine in the iconic city, whatever the occasion.
For those looking to experience in The Ivy Exeter’s delicious food and cocktail menus, the brasserie will be serving up delicious dishes such as, Chicken Milanese, brioche-crumbed chicken breast and truffle cream sauce and The Chocolate Bombe, a melting chocolate bombe with vanilla ice cream, honeycomb centre, and hot salted caramel sauce. Furthermore, the delectable cocktail menu will feature bespoke serves created with local supplier Plymouth Gin, including the Hemingway G&T (£9.95) inspired by a classic Hemingway Daiquiri cocktail using Plymouth Gin, Pampelle Ruby Grapefruit Aperitif and Fever-Tree Indian Tonic and finished with a slice of pink grapefruit and a maraschino cherry, and The Ivy Sling (£10.25), based on a classic “Raffles” Singapore Sling recipe, mixed with Plymouth Gin and Cherry Heering, Benedictine, bitters, lime, pineapple and grenadine, for guests to enjoy.
Guests can expect a taste of The Ivy’s glamour brought to the ancient city, with floral and tasteful interiors complementing the eclectic dining and drinks menus. Vibrant and bold patterns will run through the iconic building, with well thought-out areas for every occasion. Following a sensitive refurbishment of the iconic building, notable features will include artwork inspired by Exeter’s heritage, beautiful soft furnishings, stylish gold fittings and warm hues of green and red to match the quintessentially Ivy floral design.
