RUBY Modern Diner: A fresh approach to fast food

RUBY, Modern Diner’s flagship restaurant will open in January 2013, breathing new life into 74 Queen St, a landmark grade 2 listed building in the heart of Exeter.

Open all day every day, RUBY brings a modern twist to the roots of the American diner, serving fast food prepared with the finest, fresh local ingredients.

Richard Harrison joint managing director of Modern Diners said;

‘‘RUBY is named after the Devon Ruby Red cow. All our meat and dairy products are free range and locally sourced including beef from a single Mid Devon farm, where the herd is sired by a pedigree Ruby Red bull called Flash!”

A unique dining experience for the city RUBY offers the flexibility of table service, self- service lounge and walkthrough experience.

Erin Allgrove the other half of Modern Diner explains;

“We are delighted to open RUBY, the first Modern Diner here in Exeter. We are proud to bring 74 Queen St back to life and give it the care and attention it deserves. We are independent and proud to have a local offering in our quickly growing city.”
