Have your say in the future of walk-in health services in Exeter

On Wednesday 19 June (6-8pm) at West Exe School and Thursday 27 June (6-8pm) at ISCA college of Media Arts, the Northern, Eastern and Western Devon Clinical Commissioning Group is inviting you to a community engagement meeting that gives you an opportunity to be involved in influencing the design of future health services for Exeter.

The Commissioning Group says: "We want to make sure that our hospital emergency departments remain responsive, safe and sustainable in the future so we have been working with our local healthcare providers; Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust, Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust and Devon Doctors to look at ways patients can get the best possible service.

As part of this, we want to look at the way we currently use our two walk-in centres in Exeter; at the RD&E Hospital and Sidwell Street in the city centre.

"

Over the last two months local GPs have discussed this with our healthcare providers and, following the local election campaigns, we want to listen to the views of local people. We want you to think about how we make sure you have the right level of service, in the right place, at the right time. All of your views will be taken on board before a decision is made over future models of care."

Due to the size of the venue there will be limited places and allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you are unable to attend, however, there will be other opportunities to take part in these discussions.

Anyone interested in attending is requested to RSVP their attendance to Helen Cox: mailto:helen.cox4@nhs.net or call 01392 356132.
