Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has confirmed its commitment to further growth with the announcement earlier this week of the return of daily Newcastle flights from Exeter airport.

One way fares are on sale now from £29.99 including taxes and charges for travel effective 26 October 2014 to 28 March 2015,

Paul Simmons, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: “We are pleased to announce the return of our Newcastle route out of Exeter and are committed to increasing connectivity, both for business and leisure passengers

“The decision to reintroduce this route reaffirms our commitment to listening to the needs of our customers and to confirming we are ‘the fastest way from A to Flybe.”

MD of Exeter Airport, Matt Roache adds: “We are delighted with the reintroduction of flights to Newcastle. These flights were popular with business and leisure passengers alike and I’m sure will be well supported. These new flights further cement the airport’s role as the key gateway into and out of the South West peninsula, working towards our key objective of providing enhanced connectivity for the region.”

Flybe will now operate a total of 12 routes from Exeter as part of its 2014-15 winter schedule offering a choice of up to 190 flights a week.

The route is operated by a 78-seat Bombardier Q400 aircraft.
