Parkfield Interiors appointed to design Spinnakers showhome

Designer, Maria Smythe, has been appointed to deliver the interior design for the showhome in high quality development Spinnakers on Exmouth Quay.

Maria, who owns Parkfield Interiors, will be responsible for creating the design concept for the showhome as well as creating and sourcing all the fixtures and furnishings.

She said: “I’m delighted to be working with Eagle One Homes again. Spinnakers is a superb development with unrivalled views over the River Exe. Creating a design which really makes the most of this feature is my challenge. Everything needs to lead the eye to the fabulous vista rather than compete with it.

“The apartments are very contemporary so I’ll be using a lot of bold colours which are currently highly fashionable. Wherever possible we source the furniture, lighting and accessories locally as well as making all the soft furnishings such as curtains and cushions ourselves. We work closely with local suppliers to bring the whole scheme together so a commission like this provides considerable employment in the town.”

Spinnakers is a development of 14 high quality apartments at Exmouth Quay. It is the last but one of the apartment buildings to be constructed. Over the last ten years these have transformed Exmouth Quay from a run down docks to a vibrant community.
