A new community is growing at Taylor Wimpey's new Mayfield Gardens development in Monkerton, Exeter, with a number of residents now settled into their homes and construction back underway.

A collection of properties in the growing suburb of Monkerton, Mayfield Gardens includes a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes with options for first time buyers, downsizers and growing families. The first residents began to move into their homes in November 2019 and are already making the most of life on a new-build development.

Sales Manager Jackie Ireland said: “We’ve had some brilliant feedback from Mayfield Gardens residents so far. Plenty are enjoying the location, with great connections around Devon and facilities such as Aldi and Lidl, Pinhoe railway station and the Pinhoe Hoard within walking distance.

“Our residents are excited to be amongst the first to experience this brand new development, and many were blown away by our showhomes - in particular the four-bedroom Marford. We are also really pleased to have had so much positive feedback about the ease of the purchase process and the quality of our customer service.”

Melissa Langton, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Exeter, added: “Following such high demand for new homes in the Exeter area, we’re absolutely delighted to have welcomed the first residents to Mayfield Gardens. The homes are absolutely stunning and with close proximity to local schools, amenities and commuter routes, they’re perfect for a range of buyers.”

Mayfield Gardens is ideal for those who work in Exeter, with the city centre three miles away. The new Monkerton Community Primary School is due to open in September 2020, giving parents great choice right on their doorstep*. The development is just half a mile away from Pinhoe railway station for services to Exeter and London Waterloo, and local bus services will be improved thanks to a £330,000 contribution agreed as part of the planning consent for the development.

Having paused construction during April and May, the Mayfield Gardens site team is now operating in line with the latest UK Government guidance, under a robust set of health and safety practices and protocols.

A new set of protocols for all sales offices and show homes has also been developed alongside new measures which have been introduced to protect the health and safety of its customers and employees. These include the installation of Perspex screens and marker guides for social distancing. Show home viewings will be unaccompanied and only one family at a time will be able to view each home.

The sales teams have been helping customers remotely through the lockdown period and customers are encouraged to maintain contact digitally where possible. Customers wishing to visit the developments will need to book an appointment in advance. Call 01392 301355, email Mayfield.Gardens@taylorwimpey.com or visithttp://www.taylorwimpey.co.uk.
