Quayside Distillery appoints dedicated Events & Functions Manager as the Quay’s private hire venue grows from strength to strength
Quayside Distillery, located on Exeter’s historic Quay is delighted to announce the appointment of Gemma Peaks as their new Events & Functions Manager after a period of significant growth.
Having diversified their offering and taken on new ventures, which include pop-up collaborations and creating private labelled, bespoke flavoured gins for Exeter-based companies, Gemma has joined the team to help manage the abundance of interest currently registered to the venue.
With her extensive background in event planning and management, Gemma brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, allowing her to create unique and unforgettable experiences for those who are celebrating birthdays, engagements, anniversaries, corporate milestones and more.
Gemma will also play a vital role in hosting a plethora of events currently lined up at the venue, including Exeter Cocktail Week and Call my Bluff, hosted in collaboration with St Austell Wines and a number of live music nights.
These follow a string of successful, sell-out events in collaboration with West Country Dim Sum and a Mother’s Day event hosted by Barbecue Thirteen which also proved incredibly popular.
George Nightingale, owner of Quayside Distillery, says: "I’m thrilled to have Gemma on board as our new Events Manager. Her experience and creativity will be invaluable in helping us take our events to the next level and provide our customers with unforgettable experiences."
With Gemma at the helm of Quayside Distillery's events, customers can expect to see a range of exciting, innovative and themed evenings that showcase the company's venue and their premium, home-distilled spirits.
Gemma says: "I'm excited to be joining Quayside Distillery as their new Events Manager. The company has a fantastic reputation as a venue hire destination, despite being just over a year old.
I'm looking forward to showcasing their exceptional products, building on our current relationships with other businesses and providing the people of Exeter with a unique and memorable experience."
Gemma’s appointment comes after the venue called upon locals to come up with a name for the futuristic stills behind their Coastal Gin, vacuum-distilled in the heart of Exeter and available to order online now.
This is a tradition in the industry and invites people of the area to play a part in the history of Exeter, where Quayside Distillery is building a legacy as the go-to private hire venue.
