Axhayes launches Santa Paws Appeal
Saturday 12th December 2015 sees the launch of this years Exeter Axhayes adoption centre annual Santa Paws Appeal.
The launch coincides at their ever popular Coffee morning. The coffee morning starts at 11am and goes on until 2pm and is being held at Axhayes adoption centre, Sidmouth Road, Exeter. opposite the Exeter AFC training ground.Come along, meet the many cats and kittens, chat to the staff and volunteers and have a cuppa and a cake.
The Santa Paws appeal was first held in 2013 and since proved to be a very big success. The centre are hoping that this years appeal will be bigger and better.
A spokesperson for the centre said: " Every year Cat Protection helps thousands of cats and kittens through a network of branches and centre's. The charity receives no national funding and relies entirely on the generosity of people to do its work".
The appeal is a simple idea. People, groups, organisations and workplaces are asked to fill a box with cat food, cat toys, biscuits etc and donate it to the adoption centre. Don't forget to wrap up the boxes as kittens love playing with the paper and also why not enclose a card or get the kids to draw a picture that can be displayed in the centre.
This year they are hoping that more schools, groups and work places will join the appeal. Completed boxes can be dropped off at the centre or in one of the food donation bins that are located at:
Sainsbury's Pinhoe Road
Co-Op, Heavitree
Co-Op, 160 Sidwell Street
St Davids Vetinerary Hospital
